Locking in Orders!

Hey Backers!

It's been quite a while since our last update. For this one, we just wanted to remind everyone that our Backer Kit shop will be locking in everyone's information soon, which will allow us to collect all the money raised through pre-orders so we can go ahead and place our manufacturing orders with exact quantities. We've put together answers to some typical questions which should field most concerns. Of course, you can reach out to us directly with any additional questions or concerns you may have.

When do orders get locked in?

Now that May is drawing to a close, Backer Kit orders will be locked in the next 3 days on May 31. Currently, 92% of backers have provided us with their order details and shipping info. We've resent surveys several times to those 8% who have no responded and hope we receive their info soon.

When do I get charged?

On June 3rd, 3 Days after orders have been locked in, your credit card will be charged. If you've added any new items to your order, your credit card will be charged for those items only. For those of you who have not added anything through the Backer Kit store, do not worry, your cards will not be charged again. Please double check your payment information on Backer Kit (see link below). If your payment isn't processed, we'll do our best take your order into consideration during manufacturing.

When can I expect my merchandise?

Once all the payments have been processed, we can finally submit our files to our manufacturers. We're expecting this to be a smooth process that will take place over the course of 3-4 weeks. After we have all the products in hand, we'll begin the packaging and shipping process. This means that most backers will likely start receiving their orders in early July, though we've planned for August to wrap up all orders. We will keep your apprised of any changes to our schedule.

How can I change my order or update my address?

Just head over tohttps://monkey-and-peach.backerkit.com/and enter the email you used for this Kickstarter campaign and follow the steps. You'll be able to review your survey, change your order and provide us with a correct shipping address.

How do I contact you for further questions?

You can reach out to us here on Kickstarter or on Twitter or Instagram, but the best bet is via Discord. While we haven't been active on many of these platforms, as we've been hard at work on the comic and rewards, we do monitor the accounts for any questions and comments.

Hey Backers,

We just wanted to give you a quick update on where things are at the moment. We have an 89% survey completion rate, with about 13 surveys that haven't been completed yet. We'll be sending out reminders for those next week, so please, check your inboxes or junk mail folders for those of you who have not filled out your surveys yet.

Project Timeline

We are currently on schedule. With the inking of the entire issue completed, Hammling has moved on to coloring and has completed quite a bit already. His quality of work and high-standards are ensuring that Monkey and Peach will be a fantastic debut. We're really happy with how the comic is progressing and can't wait to show everyone more.

We've also tested out a few vendors for some of the rewards and so far everything is going smoothly. Once we start closing down Backer Kit surveys mid-May, we'll begin placing the orders for all the rewards.

International Fan Festival

We also wanted to let you know that the creators, David Chun and Hammling are promoting Monkey and Peach at IFF in Toronto. If you happen to be attending the convention swing by table P11 in the Vendor Hall and say hi! We're giving away some printed versions of the digital sample issue and Hammling has some of his personal art prints for sale.

Surveys!

Hey Backers,

The surveys have been sent out. You will be able to put in your shipping address and select which options you want for the double shirt, physical plus and deluxe tiers. You can also choose add-ons in case you missed anything. We also have a pre-order store open where you can buy the comic and merchandise, tell your friends and family :)

Stretch Goals

The stretch goals are still active and we will be unlocking them as the backer kit store is still able to take orders. So the next stretch goal is upgraded digital bestiary and we are $1239 away from reaching it.

SKIES OF FIRE

Skies of Fire is a limited comic series by Vincenzo Ferriero  and Ray Chou, with art by Pablo Peppino and Bryan Valenza. Skies was  launched in 2014 has remained 100% independent through crowdfunding and  the support of our fans. Last year we created a beautiful clothbound  hardcover trade edition collecting our first four issues. This year,  we're back with the second half of the series!

THANK YOU ALL!

The campaign is finally come to end and we can't thank you all enough for the amount of support you've shown. Together we were funded by 181%, reaching a $7,261 total with 211 backers! For a random group of talented nobodies with barely any online presence, we can't believe we managed to reach our funding goal, much less nearly double it! It is absolutely incredible to know that others see the potential in our work.

So, from the bottom of our collective hearts, Thank you all so so much for your amazing support!

Stretch Goals

We hit the $7k mark in the final few hours and weren't able to add the unlocked reward tiers in time. However, we'll still be offering the unlocked tees to everyone through Backer Kit. So you'll be able to add-on the new shirt designs to your order as well as opt for the 4-shirt bundle. 

And we'll also be continuing stretch goal unlocks through Backer Kit. All the money raised via Backer Kit throughout March and April will go towards the additional Bestiary content and the Exclusive Mystery Pin. So if you were hoping we reached those during the campaign, don't worry, there's still time.

Next Steps

Our next step is assess the campaign pledges and potential order totals while preparing the Backer Kit storefront before sending our surveys to everyone. We will continue inking the remainder of the pages and post periodic updates to keep everyone informed of the process. We'll also be getting back in touch with our production vendors as we prep for production.

International Fan Festival

David and Hamm will also be attending the International Fan Festival in Toronto April 20th. We will have printed copies of our sample issue that we will be giving away to anyone who stops by as well as selling prints of Hamm's artwork (discounts for any backers we meet in person). We won't have any merch for Monkey and Peach but feel free to come by and chat with us about it.

Hey Backers,

We are in the final 24 hours of the campaign! We want to thank everyone for helping us get this far and we can't wait to get the book in your hands. We will be sending out surveys 2 weeks after the campaign ends through Backerkit. The survey will allow you to add any additional funding after the campaign ends, so that is when you would make your add-on purchases. You will also be able to choose the styles for the shirts, art prints and pins. The campaign ends on Saturday, March 9 at 5:00pm so if you haven't yet backed us that will be the very last chance to do so.
